Our Venue: Amity Martial Arts, Rear of 75-83 Bath Road, Kettering, NN16 8ND
Amity Martial Arts welcomes people of all ages and abilities, with separate classes for children, teenagers and adults. Whether you want to improve your fitness, learn something new, develop practical self-defence skills or compete, our experienced instructors can help you achieve your goals.
Our classes take place at our dedicated martial arts centre in Kettering. The centre provides a permanent, fully matted training space with heavy bags, pads and specialist equipment, giving our students a safe and professional environment in which to learn and develop.
We believe in providing high-quality tuition while creating a positive, supportive and welcoming atmosphere that brings out the best in everyone.
We are more than just a club. We are a team. We encourage and support one another, both in training and beyond, with the shared goal of improving our martial arts skills, physical ability and confidence. Through Taekwon-Do, we also aim to build strong character by following its five tenets: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.
All of our instructors are registered with the British Taekwon-Do Council and hold an enhanced DBS Certificate and full Indemnity Insurance.
Elliott has been training in Taekwon-Do since the age of six. He originally started because he was a very energetic child, and his parents wanted to find an activity that would keep him occupied and channel his extra energy. He instantly fell in love with Taekwon-Do and has never looked back.
Elliott is the current ITF Taekwon-Do World Champion, having won gold medals in both patterns and sparring at the 2025 World Championships in Barcelona, Spain. He was also crowned Overall Adult Male World Champion. In total, he has won six individual World Championship gold medals, four European Championship gold medals and has fought professionally in Kombat Taekwondo.
Alongside Taekwon-Do, Elliott has broadened his martial arts experience by training in MMA, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
His passion is sharing his knowledge and helping others experience the benefits of the Martial Artist’s way of life, whether they aspire to compete at the highest level, develop practical martial arts skills or simply improve their fitness.
A World and European Silver medallist, Leighton started Taekwon-Do at age 4. Achieving his 4th Degree Black Belt in 2025, Leighton teaches our junior students and instills in them a strong work ethic whilst maintaining a fun and positive environment.
Leighton has travelled the world competing as part of the Team UK team since his World Championships debut in 2016. Not missing a qualification, Leighton’s biggest achievements so far is his Silver medal in the Adult 3rd Degree Patterns division at the 2022 World Championships in the Netherlands at just 17 years old. He has followed this up with double Bronze at the 2025 World Championships in both Patterns and Sparring Divisions.
Rob was the driving force behind his two sons, Elliott and Leighton, starting martial arts as children. A keen martial artist in his youth, Rob restarted his journey with Taekwon-Do in 2010 and has gone on to achieve his prestigious Black Belt.
Teaching our Adult Beginners, Rob helps give them the perfect foundation in Taekwon-Do and preparing them for the rest of their journey. His attention to detail means that every technique is honed, ensuring that each student is more than ready to progress to the next grade.
