The BTC Registered Instructor Course provides updates and training on National Governing Body Policies and Procedures.
The schedule for the training session is as follows:
9.00am: ID checks and completion of Enhanced DBS/PVG Scheme Disclosure Applications for new and existing instructors. See notes below re original and copy documents.
9.30-11:45pm: Instructor Training on current policies and procedures:
11:45-12:00: Tea/Coffee/Cake break
12:00-2:00pm: Basic Safeguarding Awareness Course - Protecting Children and Adults in Sport. This is a separate certificate which is a mandatory requirement for Instructors and additionally for anyone fulfilling the role of a Club Welfare Officer who need the NSPCC Time To Listen course for the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts, a Sport England safe club accreditation.
You will be required to show the BTC Tutor originals of your ID documents and bring copies to the course:
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- National Insurance Number (eg NI card, payslip or Notice of Tax Coding)
- 2nd Proof of address dated within 3 months(eg. Utility Bill, not a mobile phone bill)
You are also requested to provide your BTC Tutor with a copy of your First Aid qualification or confirmation of a course booking if this is not already on file. A First Aid qualification is a mandatory component of BTC Registered Instructor accreditation regardless of the club venue arrangements or other accredited BTC instructors in the club.
